Bio Since '91 theUnknown have been performing unk music. Their original style perhaps has punk similarities due to their very real childhood in Northern Ireland in the mid 70s. They went far beyond anq or punk in their ideas and their influences were wide reaching. Their first recording was PICK-IT, received written praise from the controversal American JelloBiafra. WilliamWallace founding member 5yrs latter played solo support to Jello in Perth. In that time theUnknown played numerous shows in Perth and a six-month residency at the Norwood Htl.
'96 saw theUnknown tour Australia on the release RAWOR with help from Shock records,(being oz first signed punk band setting the code of indie after shock had changed from distribution) and settle at Stage warehouse in Sydney. Drummer MarkWallace died in '94 and from then till '99 William played with many incredible different line-ups. In Sydney theUnknown played extensively, released "a vote for satan may the best master win", toured twice to Melbourne, released 3 video clips and a movie. Their last show was at the Arthouse Melbourne December'02. "downward-spiralling divine sliver of manic genius" (Xpress magazine,'94) "they're good" (Revolver street press 2001)
